Home to the world’s busiest airport and a vibrant arts scene, Atlanta has an important role in US history. The gateway to the American South, it is the home of the barbecue and hundreds of peach trees that make it a surprisingly green city.
Hartsfield-Jackson Airport is the main arrival point, and Booking.com has an excellent range of Atlanta hotels near the airport. However, the main sights are clustered around Downtown. Near the gold-domed Georgia State Capitol is Underground Atlanta, a shopping centre in the old underground railway.
Just north are a few hotels near Georgia Dome, a huge sports venue, and to its north-east is Centennial Olympic Park, commemorating the 1996 Olympic Games. On one edge of this park are the CNN headquarters which offer behind-the-scenes tours. Opposite is the New World of Coca-Cola where you can sample all their worldwide products. Next door is the massive Georgia Aquarium, the world’s largest indoor aquarium.
In the Auburn district is Martin Luther King’s former home and church, and a museum dedicated to him and the Civil Rights movement. A few blocks south in Grant Park is the city zoo, and the Atlanta Cyclorama and museum, detailing the city’s Civil War battles.
More national history is in the Carter Center, and the former home of Margaret Mitchell, author of ‘Gone with the Wind’.

The location that were rated at high online and by others visiting Atlanta were not up to par with my standards. The food was average, nothing special. The service at hotels and restaurants was not impressive.

We reserved the home 4 months in advance and it was...
We reserved the home 4 months in advance and it was confirmed. About a week before our reservation, I started trying to reach the owner for check-in instructions. Messages sent. Texts sent. No response. The night before our reservation, I called and female answered stating someone else was already in the home but she would look into it and call me back immediately. I never received a return call. So the day of our reservation (when we booked 4 months in advance) we were left with no lodging and were forced to pay triple for a last minute hotel in the area. I DO NOT recommend this rental or owner.

I LOVE Atlanta, Southern Hospitality is SO real.
I LOVE Atlanta, Southern Hospitality is SO real. The people we met were so friendly and helpful.
There's so much to do in the city that we didn't get to do everything on our list. But the great thing is - it means we have a reason to come back and visit again.
Getting around was super easy with Uber, initially, we were thinking of getting a rental car but so glad we didn't. Catching Ubers without having to worry about parking was such a relief.
Food in ATL, man... SO many great spots. My favorite food spot was FOX BROTHERS BBQ, the Brisket was Chefs Kiss, so tender, juicy & fatty. SO good!. We also loved Hattie B's, NFA Burger & Popeyes as well.

Atlanta is a very fun city with a lot of places to explore. I was only there for a short period of time, so I only got to see a few places, but I definitely look forward to coming back. Just allow extra travel time, traffic can be a nightmare.

I love Atlanta.
I love Atlanta. But because of Booking’s poor protections for its customers and “property owner’s” decisions being final—she was able to lie us out of the unit as the other couple literally had nowhere to sleep. We spent almost seven hours finding other accommodations.

Please make sure you check the ratings.
Please make sure you check the ratings. My room was horrible. No towels and the bathroom shower was aweful. I was forced to spend the night and it was the only hotel that wasn't booked near the airport. Neve again.
Location is close to the airport, airport shuttle offered. Reception has advised it would take 15 mins approx, however with the volume of traffic around the aiport it is closer to 45 mins (no fault of hotel). Note the shuttle only drops to domestic however you can get a connecting bus to internation departures (additional time also). The room was very spacious and all areas were spotless. Great spread for breakfast. Coffee available in the room and reception. For other travellers, this is outside of downtown Atlanta, airport side.
The room was great! It's a suite and way cheaper than the hotels in downtown Atlanta. The hotel did accodomate our request for a room on first floor near entrance. You get a separate living room and bedroom, two big screen tvs, a huge bathroom with both a clean tub and shower. Only thing to know is when taking a shower, the water flows to the bottom of the door so when you swing the shower door open, water will come out on the floor. No biggie at all. Still a 10/20 experience. The checkout man Gus was very friendly and personable.
From the first date I arrived, I liked the location because it was a convenient location to all of the places I was interested in. It was close to the mall, the airport, and downtown Atlanta. Buckhead was about 9 minutes. Inside, the room was as clean as possible, and everything needed was inside. The lady at the front desk was professional, and checking was smooth with no hassle. Once inside and I came out, I went around to check the location, and it was peaceful, a place where you would want to stay longer.
This a high quality hotel nicely located next to Georgia Tech. The staff was very friendly at checkin/checkout and throughout my 3-day stay. My room was quiet (view on courtyard), comfortable, and excellent for working (large desk + light + good chair). The free internet is of sufficiently high quality (GT net + eduroam) for online meetings. Breakfast is well organised and of good quality; room service diner was also great.
Overall everything was nice. Staff was great, and everything was very clean and comfortable. Best two nights sleep I’ve had in a long time. The AG restaurant was excellent with excellent service. location was great, within short walking distance from many of downtown Atlanta’s features. I’m particular my trip included a show at the Masquerade, short 10min walk from the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.
Always have been a fan of Hilton Hotels. They were very clean and the staff was very inviting and friendly. I like how Hilton gives you the option to check in and check out through their mobile app and set up a digital key to access your hotel room. The hotel was close to alot of food places as well as the interstate (I-75) to get to downtown Atlanta. Hilton will always be my go to for vacations.
Canopy by Hilton in Atlanta Midtown was a real gem of a find. Quiet rooms. Great location, 10 minute walk to a lovely square with great restaurants and a 10-15 minute Uber to Buckhead Village (nice shops and eateries). Also about 30 mins from airport. Clean, modern, spacious hotel. Comfy bed, great bathroom. We would stay again. We would recommend.
Upon arriving the front desk clerk told me they didn’t have any rooms left. I told him I made reservations. They gave my room to someone else.and told me that booking.com supposed to have notified me. After driving 7 hrs from Nc to Atlanta. No where to stay. Finally found a over priced hotel to stay in at the sleep in hotel.
The location is excellent, cheap UBER’s from the Airport and to downtown. walking distance to the Mercedes Benz Stadium. The staff were all very friendly. The air conditioner worked great and we kept the room ice cold (how we like it!)
We didn’t partake, however the continental breakfast looked and smelled amazing.
The room was very spacious and neat, clean and modern. The bathroom was clean, modern and well lit, and very big. The bed was comfortable. The hotel is located near a few shopping malls a fair distance away from the centre of Atlanta. There was a gym and small heated pool for guests to use.
Room was really quiet - ask for a room towards the parking lot if you're a light sleeper. Room was very big, nice shower and good wifi. If you're here for tourism: on Sundays it's fine to go into downtown Atlanta by car, but do expect parking fees almost everywhere.
Convenient to the downtown area, although our main goal was to visit Georgia Tech, but it was a close drive. They have an onsite parking. Close to restaurants. We have a kitchenette in our room which is a plus, especially equipped with a dishwasher.
The bed was very comfortable. I loved the bathroom setup. The loved the walk in shower. The hotel was very clean. The Staff was very nice and friendly. I will tell my family and friends to stay at AC Hotel downtown Atlanta whenever they are in town.
Great location. Close to Atlanta Aquarium where we went. Our room is nice and clean. We have the balcony where we can see downtown,CNN and Centennial Olympic Park. Check in process is fast. Staff is great.
Very Clean bedroom and very comfortable. Feeling like home. The key security is good and feel safe in the house. Location is near downtown and away from Main Street meaning quiet. Home decor is stylish.
The villa was clean and have everything you need, near downtown and the host was the best host I've ever met. We will be back for sure at Your Serene, Green Villa next time when we will visit Atlanta.
My family and I loved this location and hotel. Close to amazing malls , to downtown and suburbs . It’s a beautiful green , safe and prestigious location. The hotel is simply great and comfortable
The room had a perfect view of downtown Atlanta, the bed was comfortable and I was able to sleep well. Location was perfect and close to most of the things we wanted to do in the Atlanta area.
Great location, close walking distance to all the main downtown Atlanta attractions. Breakfast selection was good, staff was very friendly and hotel looked beautiful.
